Two Injured in Wreck at Highways 67 and 144 North
Buck Martin and his granddaughter Donna Brooks suffered minor injuries in a two car crash at the junction of Highways 67 and 144 North Monday. Joy Brooks, driving a Lincoln Continental, and Jacob Groneing of Godley in a Rambler were uninjured. Martin has a bruised knee and Donna possibly fractured ribs. Sherman Speck Strawn and A D Langston investigated. Damages estimated at 400 for the Brooks car and 200 for Groneing.

City officials discuss a proposed 50 thousand dollar bond to pave about two miles of streets in Glen Rose. Mayor Walter Ernst says the project can be financed without tax increases and would not exceed the bond amount if approved. Twister Causes Damage in Somervell County
Red Cross drive in Somervell County raised 568 dollars thanked by Mrs. Leslie Hart and Mrs. J. M. McCroskey. A Tuesday twister hit the Cross Roads area near Chalk Mountain and Flat Top Ranch, snapping 15000 feet of power lines, with two hours of outages but no injuries. Rain and hail totaled .80 inch, with .24 inch since Sunday. Sheriff Speck Strawn, Sheriff A. O. Carr, and a DPS unit investigated the damage.
