Reserved seat tickets for the Bear Gilmer Buckeye football game set for Friday night in Gilmer go on sale this week at Jobe Drug and Medco Pharmacy. Tickets cost 1.50 and will be sold until noon Friday September 8.
W L Frazier of General Telephone Company of the Southwest says Gladewater will convert all 70 coin telephones from postpay to prepay within about two weeks. Customers must deposit a dime to get a dial tone, with refunds if there is no answer or on operator calls. prepay is standard in metro areas and touted as simple and convenient.
Glance at the news shows Panola Junior College continuing Education Program will host Ash Ash, a noted nurseryman, guiding a five week lapidary course for non credit students in the deep East Texas area. The program includes nine varied courses and aims at self improvement.
