E. B. Lee Jr dies after lengthy illness in Shreveport
E B Lee Jr 56 of 2505 West Gay Avenue died Tuesday in Veterans Hospital Shreveport after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Malcolm Stone Funeral Home Chapel with Rev B F Risinger and Rev Irby Bates officiating. Burial in Rock Springs Cemetery. Survivors include his parents three sons a daughter and sister. Pallbearers were his sons brother in law and nephews.

Services Held For Marion L. Aaron At Malcolm Stone Chapel
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Malcolm Stone Funeral Chapel for Marion L. Aaron 55 who died Saturday night at Shreveport Veteran's Hospital after a sudden illness. Aaron a Hawkins native who lived in Gladewater five years was a WWII veteran and retired Texas and Pacific Railroad employee. Interment at Roselawn Cemetery Mineola followed the service. Survivors include his daughter June Duncan Garland two sons Larry and Wayne. five brothers E. T. City Melvin Lawton Lee Longview Lester Borger Cecil Pauls Valley. three sisters Estelle James Mineola Cora Clark Texarkana and Opal Grubaugh Jefferson.

City lake boat dock store destroyed by early morning fire
A 25 year old city boat dock concession building at Lake Gladewater burned to the ground early Wednesday. The fire, discovered by lake warden Charles Wallace, destroyed fishing and sports equipment but left docks and nearby structures intact. Fire officials said the cause is under investigation and council plans potential funding options.

Frederic Storaska will present How to Say No To a Rapist and Survive, a crime prevention seminar at 7 p.m. Monday at Spring Hill High School.
