Night burglaries hit Gladewater area stores
Gladewater police investigate two burglaries that netted about 7709 in merchandise and guns. Cannon's Saddlery and Whites Auto Store were hit with pry tools and a large asphalt chunk used to smash a display window. Guns stolen included multiple rifles and shotguns.

The one year old Stone Road Nursing Home on the edge of Kilgore features all two person rooms, 60 rooms, 39 patients, seven LVNs and an RN director. Owned by W. C. George of Henderson the facility includes Life Safety Code protections, fire drills, a dietician, and 35 staff. It aims to attract more residents in Gregg County.

Drivers ed classes set at Gladewater High School
Two sessions of drivers education at Gladewater High School run April 21 to May 12 and May 27 to June 17. The course requires 32 classroom hours plus six in driving and six in observing with an in car portion scheduled after classroom work. Students must be 15 before day one and pay $30 on that date. Three classes run concurrently during both sessions.

Prince Receives Honor From Texas District Attorneys
