Simple life left lasting impression of Mother Wright in Gladewater
Maude Young known as Mother Wright married Sam Wright after meeting in 1912. Their large family—eight children, 26 grandchildren, two great grandchildren—lived in a crowded Gladewater home and welcomed relatives and homeless youths. They attended local churches. Sam joined later after a prompting vision. He died in 1974 after almost 63 years of marriage.

Senior citizens bus schedule expands across four housing areas
The Taykegg County Aging Committee launches a fulltime senior bus service linking Weldon Community Center, Auxiliary Gardens, Greenway Terrace, and Pacific Streets with the Senior Citizens Center. Pickups occur at set times, with return trips every 30 minutes. no service on July 6.
