Longview Rep John Allen Named Conservation and Reclamation Chair
Texas House Speaker Gus Mutscher announced the reappointment of Longview State Representative John Allen as Chairman of the Conservation and Reclamation Committee. Allen, a 12 year veteran, was also kept on the Appropriations Oil Gas and Mining Urban Affairs committees and asked to serve on Commerce and Manufacturing. The Conservation and Reclamation panel oversees Texas natural resources, water laws, and forest development and preservation.
