Female guard reshapes mood at Danbury prison
Gloria Pappajohn, a Danbury native, works as a correctional officer at FCI Danbury after 22 years in the mental health unit. She carries a carbine and 38 caliber pistol in the tower and patrols the grounds at night. Colleagues report a mellowing effect while inmates say she is respected and supportive, though she notes the challenge of managing five prisoner bed counts. Attila the Hun’s defeat at Chalons is mentioned in a separate note.
