Gettysburg Police Probe Two Car Accidents
Gettysburg Borough Police investigated two separate two car crashes Friday morning. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were towed from the scenes. One crash on Carlisle Street involved Jeffrey L Bartley whose vehicle struck a legally parked Travel Lodge car after swerving to avoid oncoming traffic. The other crash at Breckenridge and West Streets involved Freda S McCleaf and Patricia Martin with light damage after a spin on a wet road.

Underpass Work On Route 34 Starts In Gardners
PennDOT district engineer Robert Lo Keller announced a railroad underpass project on Route 34 near Gardners. Four Fairfield Teens Hurt In Car Crash
Four Fairfield area teenagers were injured when their car rolled several times on a rural road southwest of Gettysburg. The 1967 Volkswagen driven by Gillispie went out of control, ejecting several occupants. Janet CuilidR and Paul Runaki were treated at Kent Warner Hospital and released. Hanover R3 resident Michael Roger, 32, escaped injury in the 1967 Chevrolet coupe. Gettysburg firemen aided at the scene with a pumper and rescue equipment.

A separate incident east of Gettysburg on Seven Stars Road involved vandals smashing a soda bottle through the windshield of James M Leake’s 1967 Ford coupe, with police estimating about $10 damage between 3:30 am and 4 pm Friday.

Adams County Adopts Ten Week Criminal Trial Calendar
The 1979 Adams County Court calendar adds two more weeks to criminal trials, replacing the eight week term structure.
