Emmitsburg Resident John Getty Dies in Hospital
John Getty, 74, of Emmitsburg, died at Warner hospital Wednesday evening from complications of diseases. A Westernport native, he had lived with his son John H. Getty in Emmitsburg for four years. Four youths hurt as car hits Pennsylvania freight near Midway
A car carrying four Hanover youths collided with a westbound freight train at a grade crossing between Pennville and Midway. James Georges 27 suffered a fractured skull and grave injuries.
