Patty Ann Stoner of Fairfield district dies in a ROTC club exercise near Bloomery West Virginia. The Western Maryland College junior fell sixty feet while descending a rope traverse into the Cacapon River during a Ranger Club drill. She was an English major and ROTC participant among twenty seven students. Funeral arrangements are pending at Monahan Funeral Home in Fairfield with services Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Fairfield church led by Rev David Hunsberger.

Bari Baughman 27 of East Berlin died Saturday after a collision on Davidsburg Road west of Dover. Janet Smith 19 of Dover suffered facial cuts. David A. Dell 22 of York faces charges including homicide by motor vehicle and DUI. Dell’s car collided with Baughman’s while Baughman was a Bermudian Valley Airport instructor and Baughman Construction employee. Baughman survived by wife Mary E Hoff Baughman and his parents.
