The holiday weekend traffic death toll reached 267 with the heaviest homeward rush still to come. The National Safety Council estimates 370 to 470 fatalities will occur during the four day Thanksgiving period, compared with 190 last year. Woman Burned In Camper Fire Dies Thursday
Evelyn A. Fahs 36 of York died Thursday at Baltimore City Hospital from burns suffered in a camper fire at Roundtop campgrounds near Gettysburg. Her husband Kenneth L. Fahs is listed in satisfactory condition. Fire blamed on removed furnace unit and unplugged gas line. Survived by son Gregory L. Crist and four sisters and a brother. Funeral planned at Morgan E. Frey Funeral Home with private service Monday. Interment in Greenmount Cemetery.
