York Man Dies In Fire In York Pa
A 21 year old York man identified as Harry Smith died after a fire swept a row house. Fire officials said the blaze caused about 13.08 in damage and was under control in about 15 minutes. Smith was found in the living room and died about an hour later at York Hospital.

Adams County SPCA construction runs on schedule and should be under roof by end of December. Board Chairman Ronald O Nicodemus told directors that Strahan Two shelter progress includes plans for a cornerstone ceremony to be announced later. Directors discussed securing a construction mortgage due to anticipated funds from the Nan Young estate, as will monies have not been allocated yet. The SPCA expects to receive more than 30 900 from the Young estate and plans an annual auction in mid March plus the annual meeting in January.
