Six Year Old Struck By School Bus Near Littlestown
A six year old Littlestown Elementary pupil, Cathy Jo Carlson, was hospitalized after a school bus struck her as she crossed in front of the bus along J R 01023 in Union Township near Littlestown. She was listed in satisfactory condition at Hanover Hospital after being transported by Littlestown Fire Company ambulance. State police report the bus, driven by Cindy Lou Henry of 20 Park Ave Littlestown, left the scene as the girl crossed the road after talking with a friend. authorities say the driver did not see her.

Conewago Mass House in Conewago Township near Route 476, a 212 year old limestone building dating to about 1732, recognized on the National Register of Historic Places. Also known as the Robert Owings House, the site features a steep gable roof, brick chimneys, a two story addition, a large brick fireplace and bake ovens.
