Frances Bishop, known as Bernice, has been appointed Adams County Coordinator of the Community Food and Nutrition Program. Ex Magistrate Klunk Arraigned on Theft and Misappropriation Charges
Ex magistrate Thomas Carroll Klunk of McSherrystown was arrested Tuesday by State Police on charges of theft by failure to make required dispositions of funds and misappropriation of entrusted government property. A Adams County jury ordered Don Warner Chevrolet Buick Inc. to pay Robert Yingling $2.0 million after finding the Hanover man and the dealership failed to honor a December 1977 agreement to sell a Silver Anniversary Indianapolis 509 pace Corvette. Yingling had deposited $3,250, and the suit claimed the car was never delivered as promised. The defense said the pace car was a promotional model not for sale and production was limited.
