Apple Line expands transport services in Adams County

Pennsylvania apple growers urged to vote for referendum

Pennsylvania apple growers are urged to vote in a statewide referendum to raise assessments on apple sales to boost promotional funds. If approved, fresh apple rates rise from five to seven cents per bushel and processed apples from two to four cents, starting July 1, with about 100000 extra dollars added to reach 250000 for promoting state apples.

Prosecution drops theft by deception charges against Gary Showers

Adams County prosecutors withdraw five counts against Gary Showers, a former Warner Hospital X ray technician, in a case alleging illegal sales of used X ray film and kept proceeds.
