ERA passage still possible says Pennsylvania official
Helen Seager director of the Pennsylvania Commission for Women told an AAUW group there is a good chance the Equal Rights Amendment will pass before the June 30 deadline if Florida ratifies it. She noted Florida is key and that several governors could revive legislatures to help. Seager cited the ERA's ten year ratification effort and Pennsylvania's 1971 ratification. She also discussed women’s history and the commission’s role in monitoring legislation, including a Harrisburg bill funding rape and domestic violence victims.
