The Gettysburg Lions Club celebrated its 25th charter anniversary with a ladies night banquet at the Hotel Gettysburg attended by 165 members, wives, and guests. Former County Teacher Slagle Dies at 75 in Philadelphia
Howard F. Slagle 75 retired banker and former Hanover burgess died Monday at his son’s home in Germantown Philadelphia after years of ill health. He served Hanover as burgess 1924 to 1928 and held multiple lodge and shrine memberships. Survived by three sons and two grandchildren, funeral Thursday at Feiser Funeral Home Hanover with interment at Mt. Olivet cemetery.

Funeral services for 27 year old Williams, formerly of Gettysburg, will be Saturday at 9 AM in Washington and Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va. A World War II veteran, he was a son of Charles Williams of South Franklin Street and a member of St Francis Xavier Church and the Dorsey Stanton American Legion post. Camden Cobern 34 of New Buffalo township Perry county, once a top figure in the Adams fish bowl lottery, filed for parole in Dauphin county court on Monday. Judge Robert E.
