Student badly hurt in new car test near Caledonia
Two high school students were involved in a wreck on Route 283 five miles north of Caledonia State Park. One, Watson, 17, of Hanover R 1, is in unsatisfactory condition in Poly Clinic Hospital Harrisburg after being extracted from the 1972 Ford Pinto. His passenger Michael Sealover, also 17, is listed in fair condition at Chambersburg hospital with cerebral concussion, fractured leg and multiple lacerations. Police say the southbound car left the highway and hit a tree. The boys had taken the day off school to try out the car given by a relative, with an estimated vehicle loss of 2000 dollars.
