Littlestown Open House At Littlestown High Attracts Nearly 1000
Nearly 1,000 visitors attended Littlestown Junior-Senior High open house on Friday evening to tour the new addition. Students guided tours, and displays included art and shop projects with prizes awarded by I. H. Crouse and Sons. Judges named winners across wood, metal, and plastic categories. Supervising Principal Paul E. King and Adams County Superintendent J. Floyd Slaybaugh spoke. Paul A. Harner directed the band and Miss Joan Coble led the chorus. The program opened with five band selections, then junior and senior choruses, then four closing numbers featuring the band. Tonette March was included for students from Littlestown and Mountville districts attending Pleasant Grove and Hoffman Orphanage schools.

In Harrisburg on May 7 two dark haired secretaries were named Miss Central Pennsylvania and Miss Harrisburg. The 18-year olds are De lores Hoerner of Middletown and Joan Wilson of Harrisburg. Both were chosen Wednesday by eleven judges. Miss Wilson works as a typist at an insurance firm. Miss Hoerner at the state capitol.
