Dr. William Beckman, a Fairfield native and former Navy physician, will join Drs. D. L. Radsma and Elizabeth P. Wood at 571 West Middle Street to practice medicine. A Philadelphia native, he earned a B.S. from Rensselaer and an M.D. from UNC. He interned at the Naval Hospital in Boston, did internal medicine residency there, served at naval hospitals in Jacksonville and Guam, and spent recent years with the Navy’s Bureau of Medicine and Surgery. Three Teens Hospitalized After County Crashes
Three area teenagers were hospitalized after four traffic accidents on county roads Friday probed by state police. David Rexroth 17 Gettysburg R 3 and Michael Mays 16 Biglerville R 1 were treated at Warner Hospital with arm and head injuries, both in satisfactory condition. Kevin Taylor 18 Aspers R 1 suffered a fractured right arm and was moved from Biglerville to Hanover Hospital. Police said Rexroth led a radar 96 mph chase on Route 30 before crashing on Hoffman Road.
