Gettysburg Area School Board adopts 9.78 million budget

Latimore Township names roadmaster and approves bids

Latimore Township Supervisors appoint Keith McKeever as roadmaster at eight dollars an hour. They awarded bids for road emulsion from Wilson Paving Co and dust oil at 1.03 from Service Supply. The board readvertised bids saving about 25 percent. They authorized a $40,000 revenue anticipation loan and planned an investment in the Pennsylvania Investment Trust Fund. A 30 day window was set for agricultural district applications and monuments must be completed before subdivision plans approval. Local man dies in farm tractor accident near Bonneauville

Clair E. Herr a 41 year old Gettysburg R F D 5 resident was fatally injured when he fell against a tractor while near a fertilizer tank on his Bonneauville area farm two miles northwest of town. He died at Hanover General Hospital at 3 10 p m from severe head injuries according to the York County coroner.
