Adams County court’s May term criminal trials ended Thursday with four non-trials before Judge John A. MacPhail. Robert G. Shuey of Manchester Md received six months probation and a $100 fine on an assault and battery charge plus costs and a $1,000 peace bond on a related charge. The former girlfriend testified that Shuey struck her during a February 20 quarrel after she refused to meet him, while Shuey claimed she sought reconciliation and that another girlfriend complicated the situation.
