50 Year Masonic Pin For Harness Receives Honor
Hunter R. Harness of South Street was awarded a 50 year member pin by Lodge No. 145 F and A Masons of Petersburg West Virginia at the annual past masters banquet in the First Methodist Church Petersburg Monday evening. Born in Petersburg Grant County he is the son of the late J Marshall and Ann Harness. A former Gettysburg Times employee, he traveled with his son William of Biglerville to the event.

Injuries Fatal To Man In Crash Here
Burton E. Bailey, 66, of Nelson R. 1, Pa., died at 1:10 am Thursday at Arnot Ogden Hospital Elmira N Y from injuries after an auto collision in Heidlersburg on April 22. Medical examiner ruled pulmonary embolism from contusions. He was the third highway death in the county this year. Bailey was a passenger in a car driven by his brother Kenneth Bailey Red Creek R2 N Y, who was uninjured. Also treated were his wife Eleanor 53 and Burton Bailey's wife Margaret. The other car driver Grace N. Sipe 62 Hanover and her passenger Pat Sheaffer, both Hanover, suffered minor injuries. Kenneth Bailey was said to have stopped at a stop sign on Route 15 then entered Route 234 and was struck broadside by the Sipe car. No charges filed.

Funeral services were held for Warrant Officer Charles A Businda at St. Ignatius Loyola Church Buchanan Valley with a requiem Mass. He a 1968 Gettysburg High School graduate was killed in action in Vietnam on April 19 and buried with full military honors at the National Cemetery.
