Lincoln Intermediate Unit No 12 officials told the LIU board that a Pennsylvania state board set plan for special education standards will likely take effect next year. Robert M. Campbell cited concerns over class size and diploma eligibility under the new rules, noting districts must add classrooms to meet age-span limits and that diplomas depend on individual IEPs. The Independent Regulatory Review Commission twice rejected changes, saying the legislature should approve early intervention and other instructional supports.
