Hanover teacher named to state standards commission

Pauli Hentz, Hanover Middle School reading specialist, was nominated by Gov. Casey to the Pennsylvania Standards and Practices Commission, a new 13 member panel to oversee education quality. The appointment requires Senate approval. The PSPC aims to craft a code of ethics, evaluate teacher prep and certification, and hold public hearings on teacher competency, with potential revocation powers.
