United Way Bowl-A-Thon nets $13 000 in first weekend

The Adams County United Way Bowl-A-Thon raised $13 040 after the first weekend with more than 200 bowlers at Edgewood Lanes Gettysburg. Cadbury Schweppes challenged Knouse Foods, leading to 57 bowlers and $3 666 raised from 13 teams. Bowling continues this weekend with two sessions each day and calls for more teams to join.

Veterans home meeting planned in Franklin County
