Gunman abducts Mount Joy man in daytime kidnapping
A 48-year-old Mount Joy Township security officer Charles Louis Bayer was abducted Thursday afternoon from his home by a white male suspect with blond hair and blue eyes. Bayer was forced into Bayer’s minivan and driven away for four hours through Adams County before being dumped near Harrisburg and later found. Police hunt the suspected 20-year-old gunman, bleeding from a knife or gun wound, who fled in Bayer’s white 1984 Dodge Minivan.
