Three persons were injured in four traffic accidents reported by state police over the weekend. Donald Hippensteel, 33, East Berlin, was admitted to York Hospital with head injuries after his car struck trees following a tire blowout on Berlin Road. Linda Dell, 22, Hanover, a passenger in a car driven by John Smith, 25, New Oxford, was treated for a pulled muscle after a Jeep rear ended Smith’s car near Cross Keys. Fred W. Police report a three car collision in Fairfield at 10 Sunday night. James L. Musselman, 35, of Gettysburg R. 3, driven a 1963 Ford west, veered into the eastbound lane and struck Elmer A. Shockey Jr. and Debra Shockey’s 1964 Chevrolet parked in front of their home. His car then hit Anna V. Heare’s 1971 Plymouth, parked by a laundromat, pushing Heare’s car back 93 feet to the Shindledecker residence porch. No porch damage occurred. Charges will be filed before the area magistrate.

Adams County Court approved the purchase by county commissioners of the former Pape Convalescent Home west of town on Route 30 and adjacent land for 123 000 dollars.
