Adams County dairymen will crown a new Dairy Princess on Saturday night from eight contestants. The winner will represent the Adams County Holstein Association for 1971 and be crowned by last year’s runner up Miss Alice Gladfelter. The public contest starts at 8 p.m. in the Biglerville High School auditorium with judges including Miss Marie Gipe and Edgar Emrich.

Countians Die In Crash On Bridge Sunday
A three car crash on the Wrightsville Columbia intercounty bridge Sunday night killed Harold W. Metzler 28 and his three year old son John Kent Metzler of Hanover R 5 Adams County. Funeral services for the victims will be held at Gantz Mennonite Church Manheim R 2 Lancaster County with burial in Hornley Mennonite Cemetery Manheim R 2. Metzler was an inhalation therapist at Hanover General Hospital. Surviving family members include his parents John B. and Elsie Nissley Metzler Manheim R 1, three sisters and other relatives. The widow Bonnie Summers Metzler 27 was hospitalized in critical condition with head injuries and multiple cuts. daughter Juanita Kay Metzler 22 months old was in fair condition with a fractured right thigh. One driver Karl Stropple 24 of Columbia was in critical condition. Kim Howell 8 of York R 5 remained in satisfactory condition.

Vietnamese Reds Drive Cambodian Battalion From Mekong Villages
North Vietnamese forces pushed a Cambodian battalion 11 miles northeast of Phnom Penh on the Mekong. The retreating unit reported discovering a Soviet rocket capable of hitting the capital. Four Cambodian planes napaled the ruins as 1,000 troops attacked, killing four and wounding about 26. The Viet Minh advance tightens pressure along the Mekong, with Tonle Bet and Kompong Cham as the only government positions left between Mouk Khampoul and the Laotian border. Two North Vietnamese regiments were said to be setting up near Prey Veng, east of the capital.
