County Couple Weds Tuesday at St Marys McSherrystown
Miss Grace Hockensmith daughter of Mrs Susanna Hockensmith Brushtown and Fabian Weaver son of Mrs Corinnne Weaver New Oxford were united in a nuptial high mass at St Marys Catholic church McSherrystown Tuesday morning at seven. The bride wore white satin with embroidered net veil and carried roses. Catherine Krichten maid of honor and William Hocken smith best man attended. The processional was Lohengrin and Mendelssohn gave the recessional.

Miss Ruth Spangler and Mrs. P. W. Stallsmith sailed Tuesday from New York for France aboard the Lafay ette and Le de France respectively. Spangler plans a Europe tour and returns to New York August 29 while Stallsmith visits her son-in-law and daughter in Paris. Local man jailed after police fight in Adams County
Clarence Hilty of Railroad street was jailed after a morning confrontation that began at his mother-in-law Mrs. John Smith’s home on West street.
