Boy And Dog Are Reunited After Sewer Rescue
Fire reports John Raid an 18 year old boy swam three miles through Mall Creek’s concrete sewer to retrieve his dog Jiggs after entering the flume. The dog remained missing until John A. Benckley and two flashlights reached the tunnel mile from the entrance finding the dog still hunting. The dog was coaxed out using a rope and both were saved.
