Tragic rescue attempt Ends in Death for Two Medics
Lancaster County officials said two emergency medics and a shreman died trying to rescue an year-old boy trapped in an abandoned methane gas filled septic tank. The boy was critically injured and the attack prompted a noninvestigation into the tragedy. Fire Chief Joseph Giordano said every effort was made to save the rescuers and the child. Emergency medics from St Josephs Hospital were called after Benjamin Walker became trapped in the 12 foot deep tank.
