213 children enrolled in a Vacation Church School operated by St. James Lutheran Church Christ Lutheran Church and Trinity United Church of Christ. Opening day had 71 in kindergarten 21 three year olds in nursery 47 in First and Second 34 in Third and Fourth 30 in Fifth and Sixth and 1 in Junior High. In Chicago, seven antiwar activists were sentenced to five years on each of two counts for destroying Selective Service records. Three absent defendants, labeled ringleaders, received ten years. Man Arrested In Bogus Sales Case Near Pittsburgh
A 58 year old Pittsburgh area man, Robert B. Henderson of Aspinwall, was jailed after a charge of seven counts of cheating by false pretenses. He allegedly sold small advertising items like pens and key chains to seven area business men who did not receive the goods. Henderson was arraigned before Cumberland Township Justice Charles R. Leader. no bail set yet. Police said he was taken into custody by Pennsylvania Turnpike and Gettsyburg troopers at the Harrisburg interchange and a hearing will be held before Leader.

Progress Made On Problems Dr Mudd Says
Dr Samuel Mudd, psychology professor at Gettysburg College, told the Kiwanis Club at Lamp Post Tea Room that Adams County has made real progress in mental health over the past year. He praised Operation Drug Alert and announced the Family Counseling Service of Adams County, set to begin June 15, will offer 10 hours of professional counseling to referrals from courts, schools, social agencies, and clergy, administered by the Hoffman Home for the Adams County Council of Churches.

The board approved a 33 mill real estate tax, a $10 per capita tax, 1 percent property transfer tax, 1 percent earned income tax, and a $5 flat occupational tax.
