Straban Phase I Plan Near Finish Says Engineer
Straban Township Planning Commission heard from Martin and Martin Inc. that Phase I of a proposed comprehensive plan is nearly finished and Phase II planning will be presented next session. The meeting focused on transportation and traffic hotspots with 1989 recorded 120 accidents including one fatality, mainly at intersections, as traffic volumes rise. If a township zoning ordinance is adopted it would supersede Adams County’s plan, guiding preservation of commercial and agricultural areas.
