A Gettysburg woman Patricia A. Singleton, 22, died at the scene after her disabled Ford Fairmont stalled on U.S. Route 15 south of Gettysburg. Passengers Bryan Varner, 18, and Michael Lott, 24, were injured while awaiting repairs. A northbound 1993 Nissan pickup driven by Richard Bishop left the roadway, hit Singleton’s car, causing a fire and multi-vehicle impact. Varner walked away to call for help. Lott and Bishop were injured. Police searched the area for a man who left the scene. The incident prompted ongoing investigation.
