Cindy Stimer a Delone High School senior and daughter of Mr and Mrs Harvey Stimer Jr was elected queen of the Hampton Fire Company at its annual carnival. Six contestants were judged with Debbie Lemmon placing the crown. The winner will represent the fire company in the county queen contest in August.

Trophy honors Dr Bruce N Wolff at Gettysburg Horse Show
A trophy named for the late Dr Bruce N Wolff will be awarded for the first time at the 21st Gettysburg Horse Show on Sunday. The prize, purchased by colleagues, will be retired after a horse wins it three times, and will be presented in Pleasure Horse class No 18. Officials expect about 150 horses to enter the show at the South Mountain Fairgrounds, with events starting at noon and including grooming and showmanship, open jumping, two 4-H classes, Western and English Pleasure, under Maryland Pennsylvania circuit rules.

Girl Injured In Car Crash On Route 30 Near McKnightstown
State police report two traffic accidents within four minutes Wednesday afternoon. Sylvia Suhrie, 20, Chambersburg, sustained a neck complaint after being rear–ended by George Meister, 55, Fayetteville, on Route 30. Meister’s Ford and Suhrie’s Mercury suffered damage totaling about 450 dollars. A second collision on Maple Street near Staub’s Garage involved S. E. Shuel, 72, Gettysburg, and Wayne Fissel, 34, Littlestown, with 200 dollars damage to each vehicle and no injuries.
