Fire destroys large barn on L Heller farm
Fire of unknown origin this morning destroyed a large barn on Lloyd Heller’s farm near McKnightstown along the Arendtsville road. The blaze consumed harness, plow, fanning mill and loader amid a heavy hay loss. stock was saved and no people were harmed. Firefighters from Cashtown and Gettysburg battled the flames, but the 50 by 70 foot barn was doomed, with losses running into several thousand dollars.

Action to Retrieve Car Title Leads to Arrests
John Gibbons of Hanover R 4 and Edgar Becker, 15, near Hanover, faced charges after a collision on a Bethlehem mines side road. Becker was charged with driving an unregistered car and without a license while the purchaser, Becker, held 1930 plates. Lydia Bubb, 90, widow of Adam Bubb, died Sunday night at 10 in Cumberland township from a complication of diseases.
