Vo Tech Authority Adopts Budget For Construction Of $3 6 Million Facility Here
The Adams County Area Vo Tech School Authority adopts a budget of 8.1 million and plans to name a trustee at the July meeting to handle financing for a 3.62 million facility on the former county home site near Barlow's Knoll. Federal funds of 472,819 and interest expected to 47,180 reduce the obligation to 3.1 million. The board hires Rothschild Associates to prepare bank bid specs and authorizes 1,500 for auditing and incidental expenses.

Rev C E Held Dies Today in Ohio at 82
The Rev. Charles E. Held 82 retired pastor of Mt Joy Lutheran and a community leader in Adams County died in Chagrin Falls Ohio where he had lived with a daughter Mrs W C Harmon. He served 16 years as pastor of Mt Joy Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Church at Harney retiring Sept 1 1962. He helped organize Adams County Heart Association and founded it served as Red Cross chairman and on the Public Assistance Board. He organized Adams County Council of Community Services and led United Nations Week observances. He chaired the Adams County White House Conference committee and traveled to Washington.

Church Hospital Share In Estate Plays Role In Wills
Two wills and an application for letters of administration were filed. Dr. Edgar A. Miller of Baltimore Street died May 20 leaving a 70 000 estate with 1000 bequests to St James Lutheran Church Gettysburg and others. Luther G. Mellett of Biglerville left 3079 to Adams County National Bank as executor with shares to a sister and two stepchildren. Jans Weaner of Gettysburg applied for admin of her husband David H Weaner s 9870 estate, who died August 1 1969.

Stabbing Fracas Leaves Man Hospitalized At Warner Hospital
David Sellers aged 49 is listed in fair condition at Warner Hospital after a chest stab from a domestic quarrel with his companion Mary Louise Mauston age 54. Mauston was arrested and jailed on $2500 bail on charges of assault and battery aggravated assault and battery and assault with intent to kill. Police say a four inch knife was used in the kitchen area and the fight moved into the living room and bedroom of the four room home at 123 Breckenridge Street. A hearing for Mauston will be scheduled.
