State police report a 10 pm crash at Routes A-6810 and L A 01050 near New Oxford. Melvin Reichart 59 New Oxford was charged with operating under the influence after a head on collision with Laura Myers 27 and Brenda Scott 30, both of New Oxford, leaving five injured in Hanover Hospital with Mrs Reichart and two other passengers treated. A second two car crash at 12:25 pm near Mount Tabor involved W H Marrow and Charles D Kauffman with minor damage and no injuries.

Mrs. Bertha H. Tyson, 91, widow of Chester J. Tyson formerly of Flora Dale and Gardners died Friday evening at Sheppard-Pratt Hospital in Baltimore after a long illness. A Quaker, charter member of the Trilogy Club of Upper Adams County, she was born September 24, 1881 in Westbury S I and educated at the Packer Institute. Nine of her 12 children survive including Donald C. Tyson Gardners and Mrs. Elizabeth Tilton Arlington Va.
