Two Franklin Men Die In Drowning Crash Near Cashtown
Two Franklin Township men Earl A. Kump 23 of Biglerville R2 and George E. Cullison 23 of Gettysburg R3 died when their car plunged from Ingaman Road into a four acre pond off Bingaman Road southwest of Cashtown. The car crossed into a ditch, climbed a 15 foot embankment, and sank about 15 feet deep. Rescue efforts failed after divers retrieved the sedan. Funeral services set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Monahan Funeral Home Gettysburg with burial at Flohr’s Church Cemetery.
