Regan insists he advised Reagan to drop Iran arms sale

Former White House Chief of Staff Regan testified before Congress that he repeatedly urged President Reagan to halt secret arms sales to Iran, recalling that in December 1985 and again in early 1986 he warned of little progress and the need to cut losses. He said Reagan seemed to share the view that they had been snookered. Regan noted other aides’ private meetings with Reagan and confirmed he never saw details of the NSC run covert supply operation.

Adelman resigns as arms control head to join think tank

Kenneth L. Adelman director of the U S Arms Control and Disarmament Agency resigns to work for a local think tank and write a syndicated column. Third ward residents seek housing plan in South Washington Street area

About 15 residents of the 3rd Ward gathered at St. Paul's AME Zion Church to learn about state housing grants from the Department of Community Affairs. Small lesion removed from President Reagan’s nose

Public press notes report a very small lesion on the President’s nose was removed in a common procedure. Fitzwater described the lesion as tiny and the health statement said the operation went well with Reagan in excellent health.
