Inmate escapes from Adams County Prison in Pennsylvania

Franklin County man Jeffery Barnhart escaped from the Adams County Prison in Gettysburg between 1 and 4:30 pm after breaking through a reinforced window screen. Police from Adams and Cumberland counties, Gettysburg, and state units searched areas,Including helicopter and K nine teams, as Barnhart remained at large. He is described as 6 foot, 173 pounds, with brown hair eyes and a mustache, wearing a dark blue uniform and bright blue sweatshirt. He may have fled toward Greencastle or west across fields.
