Adams County Man Receives Liquor Law Sentences
Judge Oscar F. Spicer sentenced Jerome Oliver Gearsburo R. to two sentences of one to three months and fines totaling 3200 after pleading guilty to selling beer and vodka without a license to two state troopers on April 21. Oliver’s jail term was suspended for one month to allow payment of costs and fines. Vera Lee Dixon 35 of Biglerville pleaded not guilty to assault and concealed weapon charges and requested a jury trial. Dixon allegedly injured Johnny Lee Burns of Chambersburg Jan 7 at the Hideaway Restaurant near Caledonia. She was returned to Adams County last Thursday by Sheriff Bernard V. Miller, who had Miller picked up Dixon in Macon Ga where she was arrested after leading Adams County authorities to a case involving Tommy Anthony Davis. Davis 293 W Middle St Gettysburg 02 theft of services charges continued to next date. Davis allegedly failed to pay a bill at the James Gettys Hotel.

Multiple Accidents Leave Three Injured Across Area

Two men were hurt in a three vehicle collision on Jack's Mountain Road near Fairfield at 9 35 AM and were taken to Warmer Hospital as injuries were treated. Firefighters aided at both scenes while state police and local authorities continue inquiries. No one was injured in a second two car collision on Rt 30 near Pine's Gift Shop and another two car crash on Baltimore Street near the high school saw no injuries.
