Tonight remains mostly clear with lows in the upper 60s. Wednesday brings patchy morning fog and clouds, then sunny and hot with humid conditions and a high near 90.

Greyhound Bus Rear-Ends Trucks Near Flagstaff

A Greyhound bus rear ended two trucks on Interstate 17 about 30 miles south of Flagstaff Arizona early Monday. One truck driver was critically injured while eleven bus passengers received minor injuries. The driver failed to notice slow moving vehicles ahead as the bus struck at the crest of a rise. The incident prompted safety concerns and an investigation by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

Treasured Time with Great Grandparents Wins Photo Prize

The photo is the fifth of eight local winners in the Kodak International Newspaper Snapshot Awards contest sponsored by Gettysburg Times and Gettysburg One Hour Photo. Farm worker rescued after g trapped in corn silo

A New Oxford farm worker escaped serious injury Monday afternoon when trapped up to his waist in corn inside a silo at the Donald Trimmer farm on Green Ridge Road Hampton Township. Dale Grove drew corn to an 18 wheel truck as rescuers rapidly cleared the pile.

Longtime boro solicitor Don Oyler resigns

Seon Oyler has resigned as solicitor for the borough of Gettysburg effective after many years of service. Borough Council read a resolution honoring his wisdom and dignity, noting pivotal actions like the first bond issue parking garage and Historic District. A search committee will seek a replacement but it may take time.

Dickinsons sentence 15 to 40 years for molesting students

James B. Dickinson Jr., a Gettysburg Middle School science teacher, received 15 to 40 years in state prison after being convicted of sexually molesting two former eighth grade students. Adams County Judge John Kuhn condemned the abuse of authority and noted the impact on victims and families while recounting Dickinsons past escape from Germany.
