Mount Joy Township residents opposed to a Rimiro Corporation waste transfer station met with seven state Department of Environmental Resources officials in Harrisburg for two hours to learn the permit review process. ROOTS rural reform package unveiled in Harrisburg
A bipartisan ROOTS plan to tackle rural Pennsylvania's problems was announced in the Capitol Media Center. Led by the Center for Rural Pennsylvania, the initiatives target rural education health care economic development and access to state programs. Bills are slated for March introduction with an initial eight million dollar year one cost and focus on college prep career counseling and attracting health professionals to rural areas.
