Six county fire companies were called to three separate alarms Monday. Gettysburg and Heidlersburg fought a minor kitchen stove fire at Jack Miller's home in Twin Oaks, Arendtsville and Biglerville crews tackled a kitchen wall fire near Arendtsville, and Emmitsburg and Fairfield crews handled a chimney fire near Emmitsburg.
