Gettysburg Kiwanis marks 75th year celebration

Historic Gettysburg Kiwanis members marked Kiwanis International s 75th birthday during Anniversary Week January 21 27 1990. They highlighted 75 years of service and 130 000 completed projects while noting 400 new clubs 16 000 new members in the year and 215 000 members worldwide.

Gettysburg Student Wins State Youth Art Month Flag

Gettysburg Junior High student Linda Larson won a state Youth Art Month flag event chosen by a PAEA committee. The flag features a blue Pennsylvania outline with a Liberty Bell on white and the theme Celebrate Art in gold. Larson’s flag will be shown during March 6 ceremonies at Union Station and may be honored in Harrisburg.
