The county signs a $13,000 grant agreement with the Pennsylvania Department of Community Affairs on July 16 to kick off revising the comprehensive plan. The current plan has been in place since 1972 and will be replaced. project lift-off is planned for this year.

Charles W. Perry age 50 of 11095 Baumgardner Lane Waynesboro died unexpectedly at home Tuesday. Born July 8 1939 in Gouverneur New York he was a 22 year Air Force veteran who served in Iceland California Germany and Vietnam. He retired in 1978 and held several local jobs. He was active in Calgary Episcopal Chapel and several fraternal groups. He is survived by his wife Anna Mae Crilley Perry a son and a daughter and three grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Pifer Culbert of York Springs welcome a daughter born Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Rider of 325 East Middle Street Hanover announce a son born Wednesday.
