Hotel Gettysburg renovation set to restart this month

Engineers from Robert Kinsley Inc. of York said work will resume on the Hotel Gettysburg project this month with final contract language being resolved with C T Consultants Inc. The $6 million plan aims to restore the burned hotel into an 80 room hotel and convention center, including a 264 space parking deck behind the building.

Gettysburg Greyhound station at risk of closure

The Gettysburg Greyhound station may close due to the North Stratton Street building lease expiring January 31. Fire Co. plans to demolish the historic station site for a new fire hall, leaving the Bronx property owner seeking a new space with no option for renewal. loss would mean only a roadside flag stop without tickets or shelter for Adams County residents.

Up With People show heads to Gettysburg for two performances

The international cast of 156 prepares for two shows at Gettysburg Junior High School Auditorium on January 13 and 14 under the Gettysburg ABWA chapter sponsorship. Tickets are available at local banks and shops, with proceeds aiding a scholarship fund.

Borough to hear public comment on parking plan

Gettysburg Borough Council invites public input on a borough wide parking plan with new permit rules and revised meter rates. The proposal designates short term two-hour and long term meter zones across Lincoln Square and surrounding streets, plus unmetered areas and 2am to 6am bans with fines up to 8 dollars for late meter payments.
