They will back a slate of statewide candidates and prefer the Republican primary winner in the two state house races. They support Gov Thornburgh Lt Gov Scranton US Sen Heinz Gooding and James Cavanaugh for the state Supreme Court. The 1st state house district now includes a northern fragment of Adams County after redistricting. The group announced an open primary and an open house March 3 from 9 am to 5 pm and urged reelection candidates for 156 open precinct posts. petions deadline is March 9 with plans for a spring fundraising dinner and candidate night.
